Chicago, Illinois - Chicago has long been among the most highly esteemed institutions of
higher learning in the United State. In addition to a comparatively small

A state
supported institution, Texas Tech was granted University status in 1969.
Its campus of 1, 839 acres, one of the largest in the U.S., is located in a
city of 350, 000; 300 miles west of Dallas. It was founded as a
college for Negroes and still serving a predominantly black student body.
Although its undergraduate student body is drawn largely from the region, a
number of graduate departments have long attracted faculty and students from
all parts of the U.S. and abroad. The University has received worldwide
recognition for its special library collections in a number of fields.
The campus in Lubbock, the state capital includes a wide range of
undergraduate, graduate and professional schools and colleges.

states major university, located in a city of 55,000 in Northwest Arkansas,
the university offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees in a
wide variety of field.

CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY

California has the most completely developed State system of higher
education in the United States. It consists of an extensive network of
2 – year colleges, which any high school graduate in the state may enter;
the state university and college system of 19 campuses, which accepts
students who graduate in the top third of their high school class, and the
university of California, which, at the undergraduate level, accepts high
school graduates with B average and combined scores of 2, 500 on SAT and
3ACH.

University of Miami is one Ohio’s network of state institutions, but unlike
many state universities, it seeks to draw students from other states as
well. Although out of State enrollment is limited to 30%, the size of
the student body makes this a significant number. The 1, 000 acre main
campus is located in a community of 25000, 35 miles North of Cincinnati and
46 miles South of Dayton. The University operates 2-year commuter
campuses at Hamilton and Middletown.

multi-racial student body, an unusually attractive location, and the East –
West center, which is on campus, make the University of Hawaii unique among
the nation’s State Universities. The 300 acre campus is located in the
Manoa valley, 3 miles from center of Honolulu. A branch campus is
located in Hilo on the Island of Hawaii, about 200 miles southeast of
Honolulu. A community college system was established in 1965 with a 2
– year transfer program from all 7 campuses.

MEXICO, Albuquerque, New Mexico -
Because of
its location and climate, the University has long attracted students and

otherwise. It has 17 schools. In addition, it is one of the few
state universities that have substantial endowments. The main campus
consists of 2, 117 acres, located in the city of 700, 000, 35 miles West of
Detroit. The University also offers 4-year undergraduate program at
Dearborn and flint.
